Using Newton’s First Law to Combat Overwhelm

The Creative Exchange newton's law and overwhelm

Here’s a lesson that I learned, or should I say relearned, for the 55th time. Oh, I can say what I want, I’m an adult

I had to:

  • write
  • clean the house
  • unpack
  • go through so many emails
  • you get the idea, do stuff.

The thing about overwhelm and having a lot of stuff to do though is that it makes you forget. It makes you forget that every day only has 24 hours, and that’s all everyone gets.

You’re only human, you can’t do it all perfectly, quickly, and mindfully.

All you can do is start.

As Newton came to discover, “Objects in motion tend to stay in motion and resting objects tend to remain at rest unless acted upon by an external force”.

Don’t let the overwhelm get to you, be that force and just start.

The rest is (motion) history.

  1. Very good blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any ideas? Bless you!

  2. I’ve been browsing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.

  3. My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find nearly all of your post’s to be just what I’m looking for. can you offer guest writers to write content in your case? I wouldn’t mind publishing a post or elaborating on most of the subjects you write regarding here. Again, awesome website!
